The last all sail warship built by the US Navy and the only civil war vessel still afloat, the USS Constellation is now open as a museum. Shrunken heads, giant balls of twine, weird toys and many other one-of-a-kind items can be viewed at the American Dime Museum in Baltimore. It was established to resemble the traveling museums from the 1800s which captivated spectators with strange exhibits. Baseball fans won't want to miss the Babe Ruth Museum. After first opening in 1974, the musem has grown to include the Archives of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Colts. Rare artifacts, photos, videos audio highlights and trivia facts are scattered throughout the various exhibits at the museum. Washington Monument and Museum This monument commemorates George Washington, the first president of the United States. History abounds in this neighbourhood, with Mount Vernon Square and the Maryland Historical Society both located nearby.
